A deep soul dive to find spiritual enlightenment is an introspective journey aimed at discovering profound truths about oneself and the universe. This journey often leads to heightened peace, purpose, and awareness of life’s interconnectedness, fostering a sense of fulfillment and oneness.
During Shamanic Journeys, we can access the wisdom, messages and guidance of our Spirit Animals. Some Spirit Animals stay with us for our lifetime, whole others are with us for a short time to guide us through situations. My method of raching Non Ordinary Reality, or the Spirit Realm, is to use the sounds of drumming. One can go to one of three realms. The Lower Realm, the Middle Realm or the Upper Realm. The Spirit Animals are located in the Lower Realm usually by descending into a hole in the ground or tree. The Middle Realms is our world (it would be like Astral Traveling) while the Upper Realm is reached often by climbing the Axis Mundi, or Word Tree. I mention a Pathwalker is one walks both in the Spiritual and Physical realms at the same time. It also is the idea of one that walks a path in life, be it spiritual or otherwise. The term came to me once while meditating on what I am. The image that went with it was one of me walking my path, but joining other folks on their path, helping them define theirs. The image of a wolf, as the Pathfinder, was the trigger for the meditation.
Spiritual bypassing means to me ignoring the less positive aspects of oneself in favor of the positive, without dealing with the less positive. An example would be ignoring anger by stuffing it and acting as if you didn’t have anger. While I’m not suggesting to let anger control you, I do believe you need to acknowledge and work through it. You need to experience, acknowledge, and deal with all emotions as an observer. The danger of Spiritual Bypassing is to let the negative emotions become unconscious reactions. Working through them, and observing them without attachment, allows one to consciously act.
Hypnosis is a powerful tool to promote health and change. Recently, I had a back surgery performed. I had used Self-Hypnosis to program my body to heal faster and to lose less blood. The effects were powerful. In 2 weeks I meet the 6 week goal of walking 0.5 miles incrementally, in a single effort. By the 3rd weekend after the surgery I was walking 2 miles a day. I never needed the prescribed narcotic pain killer, just Tylenol. I only lost 1/5 of the blood expected as well. This shows the power of the mind over the body. When I talk about needing a balance between the light and dark, I’m not referring the common reference as light being good and dark being evil or bad. To me, the example of a tree or plant comes to mind. I once heard “Plants/trees only reach for the light.” To me, that neglects how deep the roots must be sent into the earth so it can reach that height. It’s a balance of consciousness and unconsciousness in each person. Or, incorporating what Jung referred to as “The Shadow” aspect of each person with their consciousness. Otherwise, what is in the shadows will drive us unconsciously instead of us making conscious decisions.
Have you found that you repeat behaviors and choices that do not serve your best interests? Often, these unconscious choices, or actions, stem from the Shadow Self side of our psyche. I like to refer to that area as the Shadowlands. The Shadowlands represent to portions of ourselves that we have repressed due a number of factors. This include Societal conditioning, Religious teachings, and what we learned as “right” versus “wrong” behaviors. While helpful to learn these things as we grow up, the repressed sides of us can come out sideways as unconscious behaviors. I, as a Depthworker, a Shadow Hunter, or guide to one’s Shadowlands, help to find the unconcious behaviors and change them into conscious choices. Also, the Shadowlands hides “gems” I like to uncover for a client. For example, anger often causes us a lot of problems such as temper tantrums, explosive behaviors, aggression or passive agressive behaviors. However, when used constructively, anger can provide us with the power to correct an injustice.
